From InDOT to SEH: This Highway Designer Keeps His Mind on the Road

May 5, 2016

Keeping his mind on the road.

That’s what Senior Highway Designer Engineer Michael Vollmer, PE, has been doing for more than 16 years.

At SEH, we’re pleased to announce Michael has joined our team in Indianapolis, Indiana.

In his new role at SEH, Michael will be working with public and private agencies, communities and other stakeholders to design safe and functional roadways and bridges.

I had the privilege to work with Michael when I worked at InDOT, so it’s an honor to be working together again. Over the years, we've established a great, efficient partnership when working on projects.
Shakeel Baig, PE, SEH Office Manager in Indianapolis

He brings more than 16 years of expertise in managing project design, project planning including scheduling, cost estimation and community engagement. He received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on structures from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Memorable Accomplishments

When he is not designing roads and bridges, Michael keeps his eye on the ball — golf ball and bowling ball. An avid golfer and bowler, he’s hit a hole in one and bowled a perfect game.
